BSPS AREA 15 LTD
Welcome to the official BSPS Area 15 Website. We are one of 22 Areas and represent the Essex Area of the British Show Pony Society.
If you own or ride a Show Pony, Show Hunter Pony, Working Hunter Pony or Mountain & Moorland (adult riders included) and live (or your ponies reside) in the Essex or surrounding areas; BSPS Area 15 is for you.
Whether you are just considering starting your affiliated showing journey, or are a seasoned competitor, we would be delighted for you to be part of our Area. We are run by a Committee of dedicated volunteers, who all give up their free time to offer Spring & Summer Shows each year with the opportunity to qualify for the BSPS Championships and also the Royal International Horse Show. We also offer training and support with dedicated Showing Clinics run by extremely knowledgeable BSPS Panel Judges as well as specialist Young Judges Training with our Area Chairman. We finish our Show Season each year with an Annual Points Presentation Awards Party.

2026 SHOW LINKS
Entries are now open for our Summer Show due to be held on Sunday, 28th June 2026 at Frenches Farm. This is a super friendly show and always a good one to start off at if you are new to affiliated pony showing. We offer an extensive range of classes from novice to open, flats and workers, and cater for both plaited, heritage (M&M), coloured ponies and even hobby horses! So there really is something for everyone. Our BSPS classes qualify for the BSPS Summer Champs and we also have Equifest qualifiers for our non BSPS classes. Classes are open to both members and non-members and everyone is welcome. And remember, Members; this is the last show of the season you’ll be able to earn triple points for our annual points awards.
